V.12 Sin entered the world by Adam, therefore it has spread to all men. Don't agree with this? well have you ever sinned? yes. For it says in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. V 13. The law brought the visible knowledge of sin. Did not mean that sin was not in the world from Adam to Moses but because people were continually dying we know sin was in the world. V15. We have hope; The free gift of life is not like the transgression,unlike the sin which was committed by one many died, but by the Abundant GRACE of God many are able to live.Adam- Condemnation-sin
Jesus- justification-cleansing
v 17. Death reigns with Adam but much more life reigns in Jesus Christ! Praise the Lord. through one mans act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
I am justified in Christ alone, none other. There are two ways;Adam or Jesus. who will you choose?
It almost seems as though it is a silly question to ask but the Word tells us that men love the darkness they live in. John 3:19 And this is the condemnation,that light has come into the world,and men loved darkness rather then light, because their deeds were evil. Lest his deeds be exposed. men do not wish to air their dirty laundry u could say. they enjoy their sin, sadly.
Romans5:19 in Adam we are walking in disconnection and disobedience to God, but in Christ we are made righteous and are also able to walk in communion with God. Sin does abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded Much more, so that where sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Since we have established that all men have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, Roman 3:23 and thus we are all born apart from fellowship with God, what do we do? Well we either accept that free gift of salvation and eternity with God the Father, or we continue to condemn ourselves to eternity apart from Him , hell. Christ died for us while we were yet sinners and apart from Him. Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. we were enemies of God. but much more accepting the work Jesus did on the cross we are reconciled to God.
1 John 5:11 This is the testimony; that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son, He who has the Son has life. We are able to be confident of our Hope because of Jesus. Gods promises never fail or fall short. unlike mans promises.
So in all this we raise continual praise to Him who is worthy, this is why we pray without ceasing, seek to know His Word and keep ourselves in fellowship. He alone is life and apart from Him is death and destruction. I hope that this spurs you on to doing some searching of your own and that you are able to find the Love that God has for you if you don't have tit already. and if you are a child of God i hope this is an encouragement to you as it was for me.
